Days to Race: 255
Distance/Time: 2.6 mi/43 min.
I still don't know if it's endurance or allergies or the humidity, but my lungs are just not performing as efficiently as they used to. It's probably a combination of the three. Still, I worked hard and went a bit further than I thought I could, but still no 30 minute run.
I've been reading Running and Being by George Sheehan and he makes a good point that it's not on the days that everything goes right that we build the most, but on the days that it is a fight to make any sort of improvement at all. It's an interesting book, part sports memoir and part philosophy.
